Gardens: Our Community Blooms

We’re blessed with a lush natural environment and lots of trees, and we're making it more lush with all the community gardens we're creating around our neighborhood.

Our Food & Environmental Work Includes:
  • Building hundreds of gardens beds for boulevards and alleyways.
  • Planting & harvesting thousands of veggies each year.
  • Tending to backyard garden plots.
  • Free food stands and delivery to our neighbors.
  • Canning, preserving & freezing to fill freezers year-round.
  • Cooking meals together.
  • Dehydrating foods.
  • Making spices, seasonings, juices & smoothies.
  • Tapping maples for syrup.
  • Harvesting honey from our beehives.

Being in a fresh food desert, which means grocery stores being a couple miles away, and with the price of produce these days - this work is truly a labor of love.

Our gardens and food projects provide meaningful, skill-building opportunities, fresh foods to fortify our health and opportunities to see more beauty as we go about our days.
